I have been eagerly waiting to write a post under blogging goal. Since the time I listed blogging as one of my long term goals, I wish to write something about it. Despite my interest, I waited for the right time as I don’t want to write without enough content. Today, my wait is over. I have written 9 posts so far starting from my first post on May 4th, 2021. I wish to share my little experiences in this post, my first post under “Blogging” category.
First, as everyone said, it takes time to write a post. Though we have enough thoughts floating inside our head, we should not express these thoughts as it is while writing the post. The content should be coherent and easy to understand for the readers. So, writing a post consumes more than planned time. For example, I took approximately 2 hours to write the post “11 thoughts to 11 goals“. It’s a simple post; it usually, does not require much time. However, my concern was whether my readers would understand my thoughts. Therefore, I paused while writing many sentences to ensure their simplicity.
In short, one should invest enough time to translate the inner thoughts into words.
Second, we get to see posts from like-minded people who also express their genuine thoughts on the blogging platform. Those posts are simple to read and give immense satisfaction. For example, while I was surfing the WordPress reader, I visited an interesting blog called “Peaceful at Dawn“. The blog captures beautiful moments of nature, especially beach with heart touching pictures. Few blogs serve as an aspiration for future goals in blogging. For example, there is a blog called “Home Work Habit” which talks about weight benches. I like their website layout–header, sliding images, blue background white font date in the featured image etc. The site gives the inspiration to upgrade my website with enhanced tools in the future.
In total, we see interesting people from different countries who express themselves and what they believe in. A new blogger has many things to learn from these people!
Third, appreciation gets us going in blogging too! Likes, comments, and followers truly inspire us to write more posts. For example, I started looking at my phone notifications frequently once I received my first like. Though blogging itself gives enough satisfaction, when someone appreciates our thinking, it doubles the satisfaction. Of course, you should also type tags such as “bloggingfundamentals”, “blogging101” etc. to create visibility for our post. Maybe, it will take time for a new blogger to attract visitors. I am also yet to learn about it. One thing is for sure, the more you appreciate others, the more you receive in return!
In essence, appreciation and followers become the eyes of a blogger after few posts of blogging.
In summary, be patient while you write a post. Try to read other blogs; it may help you to meet interesting people with unique ideas. People will appreciate your ideas if you genuinely express your thoughts.
Thanks for reading the full article. I have written this post to share my learnings with you. Hope it helps! Till the next post, see you!
